Israel’s First Commercial Energy Storage Facility Unveiled in Nir Yitzhak
A commercial energy storage facility with a capacity of 3.2 megawatt-hours was inaugurated in Nir Yitzhak, Israel. The facility was inaugurated on Thursday, March 11 2021, in the presence of the Minister of Energy, Knesset Member Yuval Steinitz, the CEO of the Ministry, Udi Adiri, Dani Blilious, the CEO of the Blilious Group, Tal Mund, the CEO of BLEnergy, Ofer Yanai, the CEO of Nofar Energy, and senior officials from the Ministry of Energy and the Electricity Authority.The Nir Yitzak facility is the first official commercial facility in the country, enabling to create a microgrid in the Nir Yitzhak community.
